The Beach With Old Friends: California Vacation, Day 8

My dear, dear friends came to visit us in Oxnard on Tuesday. They're more like family, really - I was raised alongside S and her siblings. Now S has her own family and it was so much fun for our boys to meet! The weather was beautiful, so we headed to the beach.

We borrowed a kite from Dennis's parents, and the kids had a blast flying it at Marina Park in Ventura.

We headed down to the sand after flying kites. The zip line was first priority, to the great joy of my two boys.

The waves were calling, and the boys had a great time digging in the sand. Matt jumped on the boogie board again, as he has decided that "surfing" is extremely fun.

It was a really fun day, and we had the best time watching our boys play together!
