Representational Art

Matt surprised me a few weeks ago by making his first representational drawing. Instead of scribbles or concentric circles, he produced a circle with small circles underneath- a "car." And then he drew a circle with lines coming out of it- a rocket ship. The lines were fire.

Today he drew a "car," but later changed the description to "train." This is probably in regard to the many wheels the vehicle has! I was impressed with the inclusion of windows.

Nolan is also beginning his journey to the world of art, though sometimes he tries to eat the supplies. He also makes the funniest faces when he's annoyed at his brother for stealing a marker:

I LOVE the car/train... reminds me of an RV :0)

And what an expressive face on little Nolan! His cheeks still look red... how's he feeling?

He's finally better! Thank goodness. I thought that kid would never get well. The antibiotics aren't being very kind to him, though!
