2016 California Trip: Camarillo Air Show

Camarillo typically hosts its air show in late August, so we took a quick trip to the airshow to look at the planes and watch a few planes fly. The weather was very hot and there was no shade, so our journey was definitely on the shorter side for this trip!

A highlight was watching a skydiver float to the ground with a giant flag.  We also liked watching the fire fighting helicopter demonstrate its impressive ability to carry and drop water.

We walked around and looked at a C130, and the boys were able to go into the cockpit. There were many smaller aircraft parked at the airshow, too, and we talked to several pilots before the sun got the better of us and we decided to depart for lunch in air conditioning.

Until next time, Camarillo!
