We took Matt skiing for the first time yesterday. You are never quite sure how a three year old is going to behave with a new experience. Our goal was for him to have a positive experience on the snow, even if he never got a ski on his boot. Turns out the little guy LOVES skiing! We couldn't get him to take the skis off, and he must have done a bazillion runs off the "magic carpet" lift.
The ski instructor was quite impressed with his coordination and fearlessness. He did many runs with her, and then wanted to go back out and ski again with Daddy.
We are thrilled that he loves skiing as much as we do. The only thing that made him upset was when he kept stopping on the really flat areas! We do need to purchase a helmet before we get him on a chair lift, but chair lifts are probably a year away at this point. Way to go for learning a new thing, Matt-man!

That is the upside of snow :) Great pictures, and I miss being 11 miles from great skiing....
