Swifter, Higher, Fuzzier

"Mama, what's a gold medal?"

With the Olympics starting in a little over two weeks, I couldn't leave that question unanswered. This afternoon, the first official Stuffed Animal Olympics were held in Living Room, New York. Of course, when the medals are made out of aluminum foil and cardboard, they're all silver. At least the kids get the general idea.

The first event was "the Luge," and as one would suspect, Polar Bear beat Snowball the Rabbit and Whale hands-down. After all, winter sports are right up Polar Bear's alley. Surprisingly, the bunny made up some lost time and managed to gain the second place medal.

Competing in the Luge

The bear won, and looks rather smug about it.

The second event was the race. While all the animals competed well, Polar Bear took the lead again, proving he is an all-season athlete. Snowball and Whale tied for second place. There were cheers while the winners took to the podium and received their medals.

On your marks, get set..

GO!

The Bear denies all allegations of doping

While future competitions may be held later in the week, all events are currently on hold due to an unexpected nap delay.
