Generally, my husband handles all of the sport-related gear in our household. Particularly the hockey gear, which involves approximately 1,000 pieces of protective equipment in a giant duffel bag. Unfortunately, he was out of town, and I had to dress The Boy for practice. If anyone else ends up in this situation, here is a helpful guide to the proper preparation for a little hockey player (click on pictures to enlarge):

The rest of the gear (ice skates, helmet, and hockey gloves) are put on at the ice arena. Thankfully, a (weary) husband arrived from snowy Canada just in time to help with the rink-side finishing details!
