Disney World, Day 4: Hollywood Studios

We woke up to more sunshine on our fourth day at Disney World and headed over to Hollywood Studios. This is Nolan's absolute favorite park. The first thing we did was run over to the Jedi Training Academy to sign up for a training slot. We had an appointment for the afternoon.

In the meantime, we checked out the rides. Toy Story Midway Mania is really fun - the same ride exists in California and we all enjoyed it. We also rode Star Tours and the boys rode the dreaded Rock N Roller Coaster again. Nolan and Grandpa Frankie rode the Tower of Tower - the only ones brave enough to drop 13 stories. Tower of Terror is Nolan's favorite ride.

We had lunch reservations at the Sci Fi Dine In Theater. This place is an absolute blast! We had hamburgers and the boys had shakes. It looks like you are outside, and old movies from the 1950's play on the screens. We had the best time at lunch!

Our "tables" were cars from the 1950's.

The boys loved watching the old movies while we ate.

I had a "Magical Star" glowing cocktail. It was fantastic.

Soon it was time to head over to the Jedi Training Academy. The boys practiced, received their robes and light sabers, and were ready to do battle!

Photo op before the academy!

In line to proceed to the training stage.

Matt is ready to battle Darth Vader!

Matt is too much for Darth Vader to take!

Now Darth Vader must face Nolan!

After the program concluded the boys obtained their diplomas from the Jedi Training Academy.

Soon it was time to leave the park and head to a dinner reservation at the Whispering Canyon Cafe. Goodbye, Hollywood Studios!

The Whispering Canyon Cafe is located at the Wilderness Lodge, another resort on the Disney property. The dinner was a family-style BBQ and the restaurant was really fun for kids. They held a "pony race" around the restaurant and the kids had a great time taking part in the race.

We returned to our hotel and the boys fell asleep immediately. Dennis and I managed to get last-minute reservations for a character breakfast the next morning, and we were happy to have secured them. Tomorrow: Off to Animal Kingdom!
