The youngest boy I watch (14 months) accidentally discovered that dirt tastes pretty good a couple of weeks ago while signing "oops".
He likes digging in the dirt. Now he likes eating the dirt. Maybe I should find a edible sensory alternative. While I'm sure it won't kill him, I don't think it's something I should be encouraging.

Goodness gracious, he DID eat dirt. Honestly- BOYS! I suppose he is getting enough minerals that way, lol!
My doctor just laughed about kids eating dirt. Dirt is fine. (Decaying yuck is another matter...)
